Location: Vancouver Working Conditions: HybridWorking out of our office located in Vancouver : 400-988 Broadway West Vancouver. Other: Occasional travel within Vancouver would be required as part of the role.

Join our close-knit team as an Internal Wholesaler, where you will work to drive sales and build long-lasting relationships within the brokerage and dealer community. Reporting to the National Vice President, Inside Sales, the Internal Wholesaler is primarily responsible for proactive sales efforts to both existing clients and new prospects.  This role functions as part of the Wholesaling Team, working closely with the respective VP of Sales and Territory Sales Assistant in a designated territory.

As the successful candidate, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Partner with a VP, Sales, in helping to manage a defined territory to generate sales and develop new business.
  • Lead by actively prospecting for new sales, as well as establishing long lasting relationships and supporting existing clients.
  • Use your in-depth knowledge of our products and the investment industry in general, along with your interpersonal skills to increase sales and retain assets.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Actively generate and develop new business relationships and make outbound proactive prospecting calls to advisors.
  • Use daily video and phone contact with clients to begin or expand on existing relationships to understand their business and client needs to provide appropriate solutions.
  • Provide essential support to the VP of Sales, by promptly following up on meetings, road shows, events and webcasts.
  • Keep an archive of all the relevant information pertaining to the products, policies, procedures to support clients.
  • Ensure regional events and road shows are well attended by using outbound call campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the Territory Sales Assistant to determine priorities and tasks to be completed.
  • Make daily Purchase and Redemption calls to clients in order to identify trends, prospects and first-time tickets.
  • Responsible for achieving the territories sales targets and KPI’s.
  • Create broadcast emails with pertinent marketing and product information to advisors and share with the sales department.
  • Create fund comparisons and analytics for advisors using Morningstar Advisor Workstation and YCharts.
  • Participate in national, regional, departmental, and project group meetings, sharing feedback and information.
  • Assist VP, Sales, in the segmentation of the client base to define the service levels and to ensure the sales from various distribution channels and firms. Assist them with developing a strategic business plan for the year and review it quarterly with the team to increase sales from advisors in the territory.
  • Escalate client issues to appropriate department and your, VP, Sales.
  • Be involved in special projects as required, will include but not limited to evening and weekend events.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a field such as Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, Economics;
  • CSC (required), IFIC, CIM, CFP, CFA.
  • Proficient with Morningstar Advisor Workstation and YCharts.
  • Client experience focused with excellent interpersonal, organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Results Driven and ability to work well and thrive under pressure.
  • Collaborative and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong Leadership and ability to be proactive and a self-starter.
  • Flexibility to work longer hours and limited travel will be required to attend territory events and meet clients.

The typical hiring range for this position is CAD 60,000 to CAD 71,000 per year; The base salary offered may vary depending on the knowledge, skills, years of experience and internal equity related to the position.
