Auto insurance coverage

No matter what vehicle you drive, we have the coverage you need

Basic coverage

These are the types of coverage to consider when you own and use a car.

Civil liability insurance covers you if you injure another person or cause damage to their property, or if you are involved in an accident that’s not your fault.

In Quebec, no matter how old your vehicle is, you are required by law to carry a minimum of $50,000 in civil liability insurance. However, $1–2 million is the recommended amount.1

1 Chapter A

Covers damage to your vehicle not caused by collision or upset. It may include theft, fire, vandalism, broken windows and weather-related damage.

There is no deductible on windshield repairs.1

1 Chapter B3

Covers damage to your vehicle caused by a collision with another vehicle, object or animal, a rollover (whether or not you are at fault) or a hit and run.

There is no deductible if you are not at fault for the accident.1
